Walking through it

From first call to finished homes

Step 1

You call and we listen

You tell us about the plot, the plans and the timeline. We ask the questions that matter, then agree a date to walk the site together.

Step 3

We build in agreed stages

Groundworks, foundations, drainage and the structure go up in a set order. You get progress updates at each stage, not just at the end.

Step 4

We hand over clean and complete

We clear the site, walk the finished work with you and put right anything on your snagging list before we call the job done.

Behind the name

Why we build homes and not everything else

BuildLewis Build is the residential site development arm of Lewis Property Solutions Limited. We were set up to do one thing well: take a bare or awkward plot and turn it into homes ready for people to move into. That focus comes from watching too many developments stall because the groundworks were treated as an afterthought rather than the base everything else stands on.

We work mostly across the home counties and the surrounding counties, on plots of between two and twenty homes. Most of our clients are small developers, landowners with planning permission in hand, or families building on land they have held for years. The scale suits us. It means the person who prices the job is the person who runs it, and the person you ring is the person who answers.

Our team covers groundworks, foundations, drainage, services and the structural shell. We bring in trusted electricians, plumbers and roofers when a job needs them, but the core of the build stays in our hands. That way we are not passing you between contractors when something needs a decision on site. You get one point of contact from the first visit to the final handover.

We are careful about the work we accept. A residential site needs the right access, the right ground conditions and a realistic programme, and if any of those are missing we would rather say so early than discover it halfway through. That honesty has lost us a few jobs over the years. It has also meant the ones we take on finish on the date we promised, which our clients tell us matters more.
